X-Ray and Dental OPG

X-ray is a safe, non-invasive procedure that uses minimal radiation to take a picture of bones, teeth or soft tissues.

There is often no preparation before an X-ray, but you MUST tell the Radiographer if there’s a chance you may be pregnant. In some situations, we can still X-ray you safely using protective equipment.

For children, a parent or caregiver can usually be present in the room. This helps to reassure them and keep them still.
